Dental Insurance Benefits for Kids Braces.
Question: My eight year may need to have braces in the future. My current dental plan will only pay out $200.00 a year for four years. I guess that is better then nothing but not much better.
Is there any way I can get another dental plan for her so that if we do get her braces I can have better benefits, or I will be able to combine both plans to get better savings off the cost of my child’s braces?
Answer: When talking about combining two plans to share the cost of your child braces you may have a hard time either finding companies that will combine or that is cost effective to combine.
You may be better off finding one dental insurance plan that provides better coverages for your child braces. I suggest looking at dental HMO offers since generally they are lower cost plans that do not have waiting periods. Also many PPO plans are very restrictive with regards to orthodontic services.
