Braces or Veneers to fill in the gaps

I am 35 and my teeth are healthy but I do have two large size gap one on the top and one on the bottom. Since these gaps are towards the front of my mouth you can see them when I smile. I would like to fix this issue but I am not sure which is the best way to go. Should I get braces and have braces for one to two years or just get veneers and fix the issue all at once. Looking for advise.
